5 Mother’s Day activities to try with macarons
It’s one of those clichés that’s actually true: The best Mother’s Day gift you can give to your mom is your time. And while the COVID-19 is still making it tricky to spend time with your mama, there are plenty of ways to make Mother’s Day special with macarons! Here are five Mother’s Day activities to try with our little delicacies.
1.Bring blooms and macarons.
This year, turn a classic Mother’s Day gift into something more luxe. Compliment your floral bouquet with macarons and enjoy our French treats together. You’ll want to slowly savour each bite as you take in the spirit of an elegantly decorated tearoom on the Champs-Élysées.
2. Picnic in your backyard with macarons.
No party menu looks complete without a platter of macarons. Set up a blanket outside and cover it with plates full of picnic-ready snacks and macarons. Our biscuits stay fresh all day, so there’s no need to shy away from enjoying the outdoors. Any leftover macarons can be stored in the fridge or freezer (if you have any leftover – that is!).
3. Try baking macarons.
Mother’s Day wouldn’t be complete without something sweet. If your mom loves to bake and you’re feeling inspired, give macarons a try! Spend the day cheering each other on as you learn the techniques of folding and macaronage to create these delicate sugary treats.
4. Cheers with wine and macarons.
Raise a glass to the woman who raised you. Turn her favourite activity — drinking wine, obviously — into a memorable experience by creating a custom wine tasting and pairing it with our favourite macarons. This can happen virtually too!
5. Watch a movie and snack on macarons.
You can’t have a movie marathon without snacks. Popcorn is a classic choice, but old favourites can be reinvented. Bite through any of our signature macaron flavours and delve into decadence. Rules are meant to be broken and macarons make the perfect finale to any movie night.
If you need to synchronize your movie virtually, try Netflix Party.
